The platform is not the problem
As a society, we are glued to our devices.
Hour by hour,
Minute by minute,
In fact, the majority of people scroll a further distance using their thumb on the phone, rather than their feet on the pavement.
True story.
Yet, business owners will blame the tool.
“Facebook Ads are a waste of money”
“My emails aren’t converting”
“There’s no quality traffic going to my website”
To that, I paraphrase Abraham Maslow -
“I suppose it is tempting, if the only tool you have is a hammer, to treat every problem as if it were a nail.”
That is, we cannot rely on a platform in isolation.
Just ‘being’ on Facebook / Instagram / LinkedIn does not guarantee success
It’s just a vehicle.
…and we need multiple touchpoint across various sets of thinking in the road to a sale.
Business Owners will come to me wanting to jump on the latest platform to open the floodgates overnight.
And I don’t blame them, the marketing and business world is obsessed with the ‘money in your sleep’ mentality…
I’ve been caught up in it myself.
But,
The real results are actually found in the basics, even before you unlock your phone or jump onto your laptop.
You need two things squared away before you worry about your marketing campaigns (especially paid).
I outline both of these in my upcoming guide, message me if you want early access (it’s free).
